Navigating the web of Medicare can be exhausting, but that’s where we — as independent Medicare insurance agents — come in. We’re here to simplify this process for you, working on your behalf to find the best plan for your needs. The cherry on top? Our invaluable services come at zero cost to you.
You might be wondering, “If your services are free, how do you make a living?” Here’s the scoop: The various insurance companies we represent directly compensate us, according to our defined compensation contract. You, as the client, aren’t charged a single penny for the expert advice and assistance we provide.
It’s crucial to emphasize the important role played by regulatory bodies like the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Medicare. They diligently monitor and control our compensation structure, ensuring that it remains fair, transparent, and aligned with their guidelines. This safeguards the integrity of our profession and gives you peace of mind.
A key feature of our compensation is that it’s level. Meaning they’re all the same.
Whether you choose company A, B or C our commission is the same. This structure eliminates any potential bias in our recommendations, as we have no financial incentive to push one plan over another.
We do get a different amount annually depending on what you choose. If you choose a stand alone Part D Medicare plan it is smaller than a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medicare Supplement. But the commissions for each plan remain level. So I or any other agent would have no incentive to steer you away from the companies that meet your health care needs the most.
Our compensation structure enables us to prioritize what’s truly important — your needs. We don’t have ulterior motives to sell you any specific plan because it doesn’t affect our earnings. Our primary goal is to aid you in finding the best plan that aligns with your requirements and financial circumstances.
To summarize, our role as independent Medicare insurance agents is funded by insurance companies, strictly adhering to a regulated compensation structure. This arrangement lets us focus on what matters most — guiding you towards the most suitable Medicare plan, while offering unbiased advice. We’re here to advocate for you, without any cost to you.
